Evoking the warmth of shared memories and the nostalgia of a forgotten era of stamps, letters and lingering stories. Tamarind Room is not just a dining experience, but a passage through time, where food becomes memory and every visit feels like a homecoming.

Understanding the Brand Identity
Before designing Tamarind Room’s identity, I delved into its essence, a celebration of India’s culinary heritage, nostalgia and storytelling. This foundation guided every design choice, capturing the brand’s warmth, tradition and sense of belonging.
Inspiration
Tamarind Room’s identity draws inspiration from vintage stamps of India’s royal era, echoing Surat’s rich trade heritage and timeless storytelling. Inspired by the majestic elephant, a symbol of royalty and nature’s grace and the tamarind tree it feeds on, the design blends opulence with earthy balance. It’s a visual narrative that honours the past while crafting a dining experience that feels both rooted and refined.










Logo Design
The Tamarind Room logo takes the form of a vintage stamp, echoing India’s royal past and Surat’s storied trade heritage. At its center, a majestic elephant symbolizes royalty, grace and a deep connection to nature. The tagline “Where Traditions Take Root” anchors the brand’s cultural essence, while subtle details like Estd. 2023 lend a sense of legacy and timelessness. It’s a mark of elegance, memory and rooted identity.
